Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
AFB Creator (the “App”) is published by AfriBook, represented by Tshitenge Jean Claude (the “Publisher”), and is a partner product of the AfriBook social network. The Publisher is responsible for the processing of data described in this policy. Contact: afribooksupport@gmail.com
2. Your files stay on your device
The photos, videos and audio files you choose are processed directly on your device. They are not sent to our servers, we have no access to them and we do not keep them. Results are saved to your device’s gallery.
3. Data we process
To manage the trial period, the daily usage limit and access to Pro Mode, the App communicates with our license service and sends it:
- a technical device identifier, irreversibly converted into a fingerprint before being stored;
- the date of first use and the number of compressions performed during the day.
We do not collect your name, e-mail address, phone number, location or the content of your files. The App does not require an account. These exchanges are protected by an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
4. Subscriptions and payments
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your bank or payment card details. Information about your purchases is handled by Google in accordance with its own privacy policy.
5. Advertising
The free version may display advertisements provided by advertising partners. These partners may use advertising identifiers and similar technologies according to their own privacy policies, and you can manage or reset your advertising ID in your device settings. Pro Mode removes advertisements.
6. Device permissions
- Access to files and gallery: to select the content you want to process and to save the results;
- Internet connection: for license verification and purchases.
The App does not access your location, contacts, microphone or camera beyond the content you choose yourself.
7. Data retention
License data is kept for as long as needed to operate the service, then deleted or anonymized. You may request its deletion at any time (see section 10).
8. Data sharing
We do not sell your data. It may be processed by technical providers that securely host our license service, and by Google (Google Play) for purchases. It may be disclosed where required by law. Depending on the infrastructure used, data may be processed in a country different from yours, with appropriate safeguards.
9. Security
We limit the data collected to what is strictly necessary, protect it with encrypted connections and only store irreversible fingerprints of identifiers. As no method is infallible, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to your data, its deletion, or object to its processing. To do so, write to afribooksupport@gmail.com and include the device ID shown on the “Pro Mode” screen of the App, so that we can find your record.
11. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is published on this page with its update date.
